How do I make a before and after photo?
Add your before picture to the left slot and your after picture to the right slot. Pick side by side or stacked, keep the BEFORE and AFTER labels on, adjust the divider, then click Download. You get one comparison image file.
What if my two photos are different sizes?
The maker gives both photos an identical frame so neither one looks bigger than the other. Fill crops each photo to fill its frame edge to edge, which looks tidiest. Fit shrinks each photo until it sits fully inside the frame and pads the leftover space with your background colour, which keeps every pixel of both originals.
Can I change the BEFORE and AFTER label text?
Yes. Type anything you like into the two label boxes — Day 1 and Day 90, 2019 and 2026, Original and Restored. You can also move the labels to the top of each photo or switch them off completely.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Both pictures are read and combined directly in your browser with the HTML5 Canvas API. Nothing is sent to a server, nothing is stored, and closing the tab discards everything — safe for client work, medical progress photos, and personal transformations.
Should I put the photos side by side or one above the other?
Side by side suits portrait photos and anything read left to right, and it is the format most social feeds crop kindly. Stacked suits wide landscape photos such as room renovations, because a stacked pair keeps each photo full width instead of squeezing two wide images into one row.
Is there a watermark or a limit?
No watermark, no signup, no daily limit, no paid tier. The comparison image you download is exactly what you see in the preview.
What image formats can I use?
You can add PNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, and BMP pictures, and export the finished before and after photo as PNG, JPG, or WebP.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. It runs in any modern mobile browser, and tapping a slot opens your camera roll so you can pick the two photos straight from your phone.
